2007년 5월 1일 예슈아대학교 이사회에서 사무엘 고벨 박사를 본대학교 총장 (Chancellor)으로 임명함을 공고합니다. 앞으로 본교를 대표하며 졸업식, 학사운영의 대표가 되며, 행정수반으로 봉사하실 것입니다. 고벨 총장님께서 보내오신 이력서를 첨부합니다

 

Samuel S. Goebel is married to Anita and they have seven grown children, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren  He is a graduate of Berean College and holds an honorary Doctor of Divinity from the American Bible College.  After serving in the U.S. Navy in the early sixties he served on the executive staff of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce until 1973 when he became a stockbroker.  In the early seventies he founded one of the first fully integrated Financial Planning firms in the Cleveland, Ohio area serving as President/CEO.  He also served on seven corporate boards during this time. 

 

In 1983 Dr. Goebel responded to the call of God and became Senior Pastor of Family of Jesus Fellowship in Ravenna, Ohio where he served faithfully for 20 years.  During this time he served as Chairman of Portage County Citizens for Decency and received the Mayors Public Service Award.  In 1993 he was elected to the International Board of the Evangelical Church Alliance International.  In 2003 he was elected to serve the ECA as President/CEO the position he currently holds.

 

Dr. Goebel is a champion of Christian education.  He has served on Christian School Committees and taught High School Bible during the late 1970’s and early 80’s.  He is also the author of “Seeking God” The key to personal revival.
